Feature to export Data from Skybox and import it into Excel
I am a statistics guy and I would really love to statistically investigate which factors increase winning a game/ a round the most (like entry frags, eco, retakes, saving, etc).
To run statistical analyses, I need data in form of an excel file so I can import it into something like R or SPSS.
I imagine the output to look something like this:
You could add quite some useful stuff, e.g.:
- clutches
- win probability matrix, similar to what HLTV is using in map statistics, but for rounds (e.g. how likely is it for CTs to win 1v3, 2v4, 5v4)
- Timings of frags
Also, it would be fantastic to have deep stats for individual players as well. Like money spend, weapon played, area played from, entry frags, being entry fragged, and of course the usual ADR, KPR, Utility, KD, etc. etc.. This way you could analyze something like "Is it smarter for our starplayer to have first contact (-> more entry kills) or to lurk/ support (-> higher chance of winning clutches)?".
I feel like many players in csgo just go with their guts or even change their arguments just to fit their narratives. The best example is baiting: when playing with weak teammates, some players like to lurk around (or: bait) their teammates to stay alive as long as possible and try to win the 1vX clutch. But is that the smartest way? Does this maximize the chances of winning? Or wouldn't it be smarter to send your best player in first so he gets a multikill and wins the round right away. Right now, I think there is no statistical way of proving or falsifying such ideas.
I have no clue how much effort it would take. Given trys by other parties (HLTVs statistic page, csgodemomanager and other demo anaylzing tools) I feel like it must be possible to achieve. Anyway, I would love to see a more statistics based approach to CSGO to further improve the quality of competition.
